- 1946 – Foster Refrigerator Corporation is launched in New York by Larry H. Foster
- 1968 – Foster Refrigerator (UK) Ltd is registered. King’s Lynn factory opened
- 1970 – Plant 1 of King’s Lynn site is extended
- 1977 – Coldroom panel factory opened
- 1978 – Branches opened in Epinay sur Seine, France and Frankfurt, Germany
- 1980 – Foster wins coveted CEMA Export Award
- 1985 – The new ‘Gastronorm 90’ range wins Caterer & Hotelkeeper’s “Most Innovative New Product Award”
- 1991 – Finished goods warehouse and training centre opened at King’s Lynn
- 1993 – Foster achives Quality Assurance Standard ISO 9001
- 1994 – Royal Warrant granted for Suppliers of Commercial Refrigeration by appointment of Her Majesty, The Queen
- 1999 – Purchased by Illinois Tool Works (ITW) as part of a $3.5 bn acquisition
- 2000 – Following £6million factory investment ‘Premier’ cabinets launched
- 2001 – ‘Premier’ counters launched
- 2005 – First ISO14001 manufacturer in commercial refrigeration industry
- 2008 – New environmentally friendly & energy efficient Gastro Eco Pro Cabinet & Counter ranges launched
– Awarded prestigious FCSI ‘Green Award’.
– Gamko was acquired - 2010 – Awarded the National EEF Climate Change Opportunity Manufacturing Award
- 2011 – Crowned National Winner of Winners at the EEF Future Manufacturing Awards, seeing off competition from the likes of Carl Zeiss, Rolls Royce and Siemens.
– Front of house display refrigeration manufactured in King’s Lynn - 2012 – Following £4million factory investment, revolutionary EcoPro G2 Cabinet range launched at Hotelympia
- 2013 – Foster and Gamko merge sales team
- 2015 – Innovative low maintenance +stayclear condenser launched
- 2016 – +stayclear condenser wins prestigious ‘Refrigeration Product of the Year’ at the ACR News Awards.
– As part of a £500,000 investment Foster and Gamko extended our test facility to be one of the largest of its kind in Europe - 2017 – Voted winner of the Top 10 Chefs’ Choice by Hotel F&B
- 2018 – Foster Netherlands and Gamko become fully integrated.
